Jamie Thomas is a professional freelance horn player and teacher with over 20 years experience. He has been buying and selling horns since 2005. These were primarily beginner and intermediate instruments to help his own students, then subsequently also for friends’ and colleagues’ students. Until the launch of the Halex Horns site this has all been by word of mouth and recommendation. More recently he has expanded to cover the full range of horns from beginner to top professional instruments.

All horns are fully serviced, with any necessary repairs carried out and all are in top playing condition. Generally all horns come with a case, usually a simple/basic hard case or the standard one for that model unless otherwise stated. We usually also have lots of options you can upgrade to if looking for something different or more upmarket.

Halex Horns always tries to have a good selection of each type of instrument for sale but if we don’t quite have what you want or if you are looking for something in particular please let us know as we can often track down certain instruments or keep an eye out for something. We will always consider doing a part exchange/trade in of any good quality horn, and realise this is particularly helpful when a student is moving up to the next instrument. We feel it is really important for students to have the right size and quality of instrument for their size/age and abilities in order for them to keep improving, so we try to offer the fairest possible price but any repairs, service costs, time etc will need to be taken into consideration.
