Paxman Series 2 F/Bb Full Double
DESCRIPTIONPaxman Series 2 horns were made in the late 1970s, early 1980s and was Paxmans more cost effective intermediate horn that was still handmade. They are based on the Paxman 20 but with a sturdier Italian made bell so these are essentially a pro Paxman horn but with a cheaper bell. These horns are now quite rare and are basically a hand made almost pro Paxman for a lot less money and play really well. The story goes that production stopped because players started buying this horn over the more expensive Model 20 pro model. Who knows if this is true but either way these are lovely horns and this one play really well. There is also always the option of upgrading them with a pro bell/flare and basically you will have a full pro Paxman 20. Personally I really like the sturdier cheaper bell and wouldn’t even bother as I prefer them to lots of more modern pro model 20s.
